“IMIENINY” (NAME DAYS) FOR THE COMING WEEK. Help to maintain a longstanding Polish Catholic tradition by acknowledging relatives, friends, and colleagues who are celebrating their “name day,” corresponding with the feast day of a saint of the same name. Where there is more than one saint of the same name who has been assigned a day, your “name day” is the one closest to your birthday. It is customary in the Polish tradition to acknowledge the name day of a relative or friend:
July 14: Damian, Dobrogost, Franciszek, Izabela, Marcelina
July 15: Daniel, Dawid, Henryk, Iga, Ignacy, Lubomysł, Niecisław, Włodzimierz, Żegota
July 16: Andrzej, Maria Magdalena, Marika, Stefan
July 17: Aleksander, Andrzej, Bogdan, Marcelina, Maria Magdalena
July 18: Erwin, Kamil, Karolina, Robert, Szymon, Unisław

One attendee seemed to capture the general reaction: “This was not just a concert, it was an experience.” A sincere thank you for your dedication and support. It was a major production and a super team effort where everyone came through and everyone worked hard. A summary and images can be found on our parish website. FROM THE RECENT PAPAL ENCYCLICAL LUMEN FIDEI: Let us turn in prayer to Mary, Mother of the Church and Mother of our faith: Awaken in us a desire to follow in his footsteps, to go forth from our own land and to receive His promise. Help us to be touched by His love, that we may touch Him in faith. Help us to entrust ourselves fully to Him and to believe in His love, especially at times of trial, beneath the shadow of the cross, when our faith is called to mature. Sow in our faith the joy of the Risen One. Remind us that those who believe are never alone. Teach us to see all things with the eyes of Jesus, that he may be light for our path. And may this light of faith always increase in us, until the dawn of that undying day which is Christ Himself, your Son, our Lord!
