CELEBRATING BOŻE CIAŁO- CORPUS CHRISTI: At the end of Mass, we will have a short procession to the parish grotto with the Blessed Sacrament. Father Evo will offer a special blessing there. Thank you, Ursula, for your work on decorating and the special altar! Once we arrive at the grotto, we will sing “Daj Mi Jezusa” (first verse). After the blessing we will sing verses 2 and 3 of the same hymn “Daj Mi Jezusa.” The words are in the bulletin. Thanks, everyone, for helping to keep our beautiful and meaningful spiritual traditions alive.
SERDECZNIE DZIĘKUJEMY! A NOTE OF THANKS: Sincere thanks for last Sunday’s moving and special blessing of the bench in memory of baby Jack. Thank you to the Ryba family for your support. Thanks for the parish lunch last Sunday. Thanks for the fantastic Polish Café on Monday and mini workshop on Polish hospitality for beginners, as well as the book launch. The spirit of community is a real blessing. There was lots of positive feedback. Thanks to everyone who helped – food, singing, and of course your presence and support. It meant a lot. Thanks for sharing any photos from recent events with Vicky Aucoin for the parish scrapbook.
CATECHISM/SACRAMENT PREPARATION: After Mass in Sala 1050.
POGORIA POLISH FOLK ENSEMBLE REHEARSAL: After Mass in the Polish Village Hall.
RADA MEETING: Monday at 7:00pm.

Or you can instantly fill out a membership form on-line by copy/pasting the following: https://forms.gle/CwgZJygj7SFGFeHJ6
ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING OF THE ST. MICHAEL’S POLISH BENEFIT SOCIETY will take place by Zoom (you can join by computer or telephone) on Sunday, June 25, at 7:00pm. The meeting will start with a little presentation about twin city Wałbrzych and the CBU summer school that will be happening at that very time. All members of the Society are welcome to take part and vote. If you are not a member of the Society and would like to be, you are most welcome. Please see the note above about membership.
CONGRATULATIONS TO ROSALIE STARZOMSKI on her new book! It’s called Toward a Moral Horizon: Nursing Ethics for Leadership and Practice (3rd ed.). It is an open-source textbook and you can access it at no charge with this link: https://dspace.library.uvic.ca/handle/182 8/14970
FUND-RAISING FOR UKRAINIAN HUMANITARIAN ASSISTANCE: We are using all the funds raised to support three charities that are directly helping refugees and displaced people either within Ukraine itself or who have fled to Poland. Our largest chunk of support has been going to our sister city Wałbrzych’s Ukrainian refugee assistance fund (via the CBRM). We are also supporting Caritas efforts on the ground (via the Canadian Catholic Organization for Development and Peace) and the Catholic Near East Welfare Association. We have special envelopes (marked “Ukrainian Humanitarian Assistance”) at the back of the church if you are considering making a contribution. Thank you for your support in the midst of all the suffering caused by this terrible invasion.
VEHICLE PLATES: Cape Breton Polonia and Nova Scotia Polonia front vehicle plates are still available at the back of the church. $25.00 each
FOOD CUPBOARD: Please consider bringing a non-perishable food or personal care item (e.g. shampoo, soap, toilet paper) to church when you come to Mass. There is a collection box at the entrance to the church. We try to fill the Food Cupboard after each Sunday Mass. Thank you so much!
OUR POLISH-THEMED RADIO SEGMENTS: The Coast Radio 89.7 (weekdays at 3:50pm and 7:50pm or any time at coastalradio.ca). This coming week's topic will be Polish words for father and grandfather. Thank you to John Markotich for lending his voice. This segment is dedicated to all fathers and anyone who fulfills the role of a father.
We’re always looking for sponsors and volunteers. It’s $100 for a whole week. Sponsors are recognized on air – and any dedications, too (eg. if you’re sponsoring as a memorial or as a birthday or anniversary gift). The Coast is generously redirecting the sponsorships back to the St. Michael’s Polish Benefit Society (which produces the segments), which has been a big help to the Society. If you think you might like to sponsor a week, please e-mail tom_urbaniak@cbu.ca or call 563-1226. Many thanks!
COLLECTION FOR JUNE 4: $1076.10 including $50.00 for Ukrainian relief. Sincere thanks! Bόg zapłać!
