OGŁOSZENIA / ANNOUNCEMENTS
PLEASE NOTE: The Funeral Mass for the late Anne (Tynski) Redmond will be held at our church on Saturday, July 9, at 11:00am. Everyone is welcome.
DZISIAJ! TODAY! We mark the sixth anniversary of the consecration of our church building! Father Dennis will offer a special blessing with holy water. We will pray for all parishioners living and deceased. The six candles in front of Our Lady of Częstochowa are lit today in memory of all parishioners living and deceased.
STO LAT! Many blessings – and may thanks! – to Stephanie Black on her birthday (July 5)!
PRAYERS FOR CANADA: Check out our parish’s Canada Day Facebook post, which has a map of Canada labelled in Polish. Here in Atlantic Canada, notice the provinces "Nowa Szkocja,", Nowa Fundlandia", "Nowy Brunszwik" and "Wyspa Księcia Edwarda." Our parish Facebook page recently reached 600 followers! Please encourage others to like or follow our Facebook page.
UKRAINIAN HUMANITARIAN ASSISTANCE: Thank you for your continued support in the midst of this terrible human suffering. Our parish’s contributions now total more than $27,500. Special envelopes are at the back of the church. Or you can contribute via our CanadaHelps page. In previous weeks’ bulletins, we had a more detailed description of how our support is helping displaced people directly on the ground with basic aid.
FOOD CUPBOARD: Please consider bringing a non-perishable food or personal care item (e.g. shampoo, soap, toilet paper) to church when you come to Mass. These items will help stock our food cupboard outside the Polish Village Hall. There is a significant need in our community. Thank you for any help.
WE NEED YOUR ADVICE! The public libraries of Nova Scotia are going to recommend 10 books in English by Polish authors, Polish Nova Scotian authors, or about Polish subjects in advance of Polish Heritage Month. (Next year, they’ll recommend a different 10.) Which book(s) would you like to see on the list? If you have a suggestion, please e-mail tom_urbaniak@cbu.ca or call 902-563-1226
GETTING READY FOR NOVA SCOTIA POLISH HERITAGE MONTH: Planning is well underway for September – with again a range of activities, large and small. If you would like to do something in your home, school, workplace, or community organization to honour the month, please let us know. We will recognize it in the official calendar!
PLEASE CHECK OUT: polishvillage.ca website for the President’s Report (2022) with an illustrated slide presentation of current and recent projects of the St. Michael’s Polish Benefit Society. **Did you notice the new parking lot going in this week at the Polish Village Hall?
FATHER GREG MacLEOD HOUSE: Big thank you to Sophie O’Toole (on behalf of our parish Rada) and Roddie O’Toole for officially representing our parish last Sunday afternoon at a gathering of the founding supporters, including our parish, who got the Father Greg MacLeod House off the ground a year ago. We got a nice note from the Newman Society (which oversees the Father Greg MacLeod House) acknowledging our parish’s role. This is a home/hub for Christian university students – Catholics and Protestants – from around the world who agree to dedicate themselves to deepening their Christian faith and serving the broader community.
OUR POLISH-THEMED RADIO SEGMENTS: The Coast Radio 89.7 (weekdays at 3:50pm and 7:50pm or any time at coastalradio.ca). This coming week will feature Chłodnik Polish supper beet soup with guest Jerry Pocius. This segment is dedicated in memory of Joseph Miecznik, the longest-serving president of the St. Michael’s Polish Benefit Society.
We’re always looking for sponsors and volunteers. It’s $100 for a whole week. Sponsors are recognized on air – and any dedications, too (eg. if you’re sponsoring as a memorial or as a birthday or anniversary gift). The Coast is generously redirecting the sponsorships back to the St. Michael’s Polish Benefit Society (which produces the segments), which has been a big help to the Society. If you think you might like to sponsor a week, please e-mail tom_urbaniak@cbu.ca or call 563-1226. Many thanks!
PUBLIC HEALTH PROTOCOLS – MASKS STILL STRONGLY RECOMMENDED. Thanks for all your kindness, patience, and co-operation through the pandemic.

THANKS VERY KINDLY FOR YOUR DONATIONS TO OUR PARISH : We are truly grateful for everyone’s generosity through the pandemic.
