FATHER RICH REPORTS:

Niech Bedzie Pochwalony Jezus Chrytsus! Praise be Jesus Christ!

This Sunday we return to the Ordinary Time of the liturgical calendar year with the green colour of vestments that will continue all the way to Advent.

God’s Word to us tells of the sufferings of the prophet Jeremiah with the Lord assisting him. Jesus, in the gospel, tells us not to fear those who kill the body but rather those that can kill the soul that will lead to eternal punishment and loss.

I want to thank all our parishioners who volunteered their time and labour these two past weeks in food preparations, decorating and in promoting our St. John’s Day Dance.

We were informed of the death of Judith Marie Poulaine (formerly of Mt. Pleasant St.and who often came to our church) and ask for remembrance in your prayers.

SATURDAY, JUNE 24th: We welcome / Witamy! all of our guests from Las Vegas & Chicago together with their chaplain Father Gerry Grupczynski SChr. They are participating in our special 6:00 pm Mass. They will join us for supper and the “zabawa” (dance) at Polish Village Hall after Mass. We will bless this Saturday evening, two new statues for our church: 1. St. Anthony of Padua (sponsored by Edna Martinez of Las Vegas) 2. St. Anne and the child Mary (sponsored by Urszula and Michael Melski). They will find a place of honour and veneration midway along the side walls of the church.

WEEKDAY MASSES: Masses will resume toward the end of the week on Thursday and Friday at 6:30 pm.

NEXT SUNDAY: We will have special consecration of Canada prayers under the protection of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

POLAND-UKRAINE TOUR MEETING: Sunday, July 9th. This will be the final meeting for all pilgrimage travellers. The payment for the bus (to and from Halifax Airport) will be collected. The Meeting with be at 5:00 pm (after 4:00 pm Mass)
