TUESDAY, JANUARY 6 – 6PM – CTV STUDIO – This Tuesday at 6 pm, our parish will be recording the Mass for shut-ins at the CTV studio, 1283 George St., Sydney. Please gather at 6 p.m. If you have traditional attire, a St. Mike's jacket, or a scarf with the Cape Breton Polish tartan please wear it to the recording. See you then, and thank you! Dziekujemy!

WEDNESDAY MASSES are on hold while we rebuild. We will regularly pray the Novena to Our Lady of Czestochowa before Sunday Masses.

Lord Jesus Christ, discovered by the Magi and uprooted from your home, alongside Mary and Joseph, sanctify our home with your presence. Let our home be one of love, goodness, and purity. Let it be a sanctuary, giving you worship and praise. Let these sacred symbols on our doorway remind us of your presence and be a star of faith leading us to the home of our Common Father, through the holy spirit, who lives and reigns forever and ever. OPLATEK SUPPER (our 102nd annual) – SATURDAY, JANUARY 10 at 6:30p.m. POLISH VILLAGE HALL. EVERYONE IS WELCOME. There is no charge. Please invite relatives and friends to help us close the Christmas season. It is a potluck. So if possible (not obligatory) please bring a dish. Also, if you can, please bring a non-perishable item for Loaves and Fishes. Architect Gary Hanley will join us to generate informal discussion and feedback (suggestions for changes) on preliminary concept drawings for the rebuilt church, which will be submitted to the Council of Priests on Jan. 15.

St. Mary’s Polish Parish collection envelopes for 2015 were available December 14th at the Polish Village Hall. Unclaimed envelopes are at the back of Holy Redeemer this morning.  If you or your family do not currently have envelopes, but would like to, please speak with Shauna McKay (902-539-4354).

BUILDING FUND ENVELOPES were lost in the fire but rebuilding envelopes were printed and distributed with the Christmas Eve bulletin. Building Fund contributions will go toward the new church. To contribute to the rebuilding, you can also write on your regular envelope or cheque “Designated to the Rebuilding of St. Mary’s Polish Church.”

HABITAT FOR HUMANITY PROJECT: Our parish continues to work with other faith communities on this project. We are nearing completion of “The Pier” boardgame. For a sponsorship of $100, you can have your name or your organization’s name along the side of the board. Please speak with Tom Urbaniak.

CAPE BRETON POLISH TARTAN ORDERS (proceeds to our parish) continue to be fulfilled. There is an order form on our website: www.stmaryspolishparish.ca . Orders will generally take a few weeks to complete.

THE RENOVATED AND REFURBISHED POLISH VILLAGE HALL is a comfortable, well appointed, modernized venue for events large and small. Please consider renting the hall for your events. Please call 564-8494.
