OGŁOSZENIA / ANNOUNCEMENTS

FATHER RICH REPORTS:

Chrystus Zmartwychwstal! Christ is Risen! Wprawdziwie Zmartwychwstal  He is truly Risen !

Dear Parishioners and friends of Saint Mary’s:

The fourth Sunday of Easter is known as Good Shepherd Sunday. Christ is the Good Shepherd of His flock, the Church. As Jesus established the priesthood through His apostles, so the priesthood is continued in a line of succession through the Sacrament of Holy Orders. The Holy Father together with the Church universal on this day in a special way pray that the Lord will send and provide workers(priests) for the harvest of souls. This past Wednesday (May 3rd)  was the Polish holiday and holyday that marks the Anniversary of the Polish Constitution and the Feast of Our Lady of Czestochowa as Queen of Poland. I celebrated that day a Mass in Polish at Five Holy Martyrs Church in Chicago at an outdoor altar that St. John Paul II had  Mass at when he visited the United States in 1979. This coming Saturday, May 13th will mark the 100th anniversary of Our Lady’s apparitions at Fatima, Portugal. There will be a special Mass at 9:30 a.m. followed by video film in Sala 1050.
