OGŁOSZENIA / ANNOUNCEMENTS

FATHER RICH REPORTS:
Niech Bedzie Pochwalony Jezus Chrystus!  Na wieki wiekow!

Each year on the second Sunday of Lent, the Church puts before us the Transfiguration of the Lord Jesus. His face glowed and His clothes became very dazzlingly white, something out of science fiction! We too can experience transfiguration, virtue transfigures us. However, sin disfigures us. Let us focus on the supernatural reality of Jesus as the transfiguration was a confirming sign to His disciples and to us of who He is and where He comes from.

I would like to remind all that part of our spiritual preparation for the Paschal Mysteries of Easter is to be reconciled in the Sacrament of Penance. This is also known as confession that the Lord Jesus instituted through  His Apostles for the forgiveness of sins. Here at St. Mary’s every Sunday, Father Rich will be available in the sacristy for those who wish to be reconciled.

PREP Cathechism classes are cancelled for today however, there will be Way (Stations) of the Cross for PREP students who are present after Mass.

POLISH FOLKLORE WORKSHOP: will be held today in Sala 1050. All are welcome.

RADA MEETING: The Parish Rada will meet this Wednesday at 7:30 pm in Sala 1050.

DURING LENT: On Wednesdays, Lenten Lamentations (Gorzkie Zale) will be sung in English after Mass. Every Friday at 6:00 pm before Mass, there will be Way of the Cross devotions.

VIDEO SERIES: This Thursday, our video series will continue on CATHOLICISM narrated by Bishop Robert Barrom at 7 pm in Sala 1050. All are welcome to come and deepen our understanding of the faith.

WHITNEY PIER SLAVIC FESTIVAL: On Monday, there will be a planning meeting for the Whitney Pier Slavic Festival (August 26-27) at 7 p.m. in the Ukrainian Parish Hall. All Rada and other interested parishioners are welcome to attend!

HERITAGE PILGRIMAGE TOUR TO POLAND & UKRAINE 2017: We have rescheduled our next tour meeting for Sunday, March 26th at 2 p.m. in Sala 1050 with some video clips and acceptance of partial payment from those who would like to make them.

FURNITURE: The Rada would like to make available a chesterfield and armchair (from the Glebe) to anyone who would like to take it for use in their cottage or bungalow. The furniture is in the future kitchen of Sala 1050.

POLKA PARTY / ZABAWA: The profit from the recent Polka Party / Zabawa is around $1,200 and will be deposited and recorded in next Sunday’s income for the rebuilding fund.
