“IMIENINY” (NAME DAYS) FOR THE COMING WEEK. Help to maintain a longstanding Polish Catholic tradition by acknowledging relatives, friends, and colleagues who are celebrating their “name day,” corresponding with the feast day of a saint of the same name.  Where there is more than one saint of the same name who has been assigned a day, your “name day” is the one closest to your birthday. It is customary in the Polish tradition to acknowledge the name day of a relative or friend:
July 26: Anna, Grażyna
July 27: Julia, Marta, Natalia
July 28: Marcela, Wiktor
July 29: Konstantyn, Maria, Marta
July 30: Julia, Julita, Ludmiła, Maryna
July 31: Emilian, Helena, Iga, Ignacy
August 1: Konrad, Piotr
August 2 : Maria, Stefan

REBUILDING UPDATE: Rada met on Tuesday with Bishop Dunn and his Finance Council. The bishop’s Finance Council had questions mostly about the design. The Rada tried to fully answer all questions and to represent the wishes and work of fellow parishioners, gently noting as well that we understood all issues to have been resolved some time ago, that the diocesan vicar general had been involved in all Rada meetings since January and that any significant changes at this time would incur major expense: the architect has already had engineers map out details like wiring, sound, and electrical outlets. We are hoping that we will be obtaining final sign-off this week to issue construction tenders, and we want to try to avoid further delays. There is a meeting tomorrow with the diocesan administrator, architect, and construction managers.

PIEROGI-MAKINGTOMORROW – A Request for Volunteers: If you can spare some time tomorrow, it would be appreciated! The work begins at 9 a.m. Monday at the Polish Village Hall. Requested are volunteers for rolling, pinching, and boiling.

DESSERTS FOR OUR POLISH FOOD FEST: There will be a dessert table at the Action Week Polish Food Fest. We would appreciate any baked contributions.Donations can be dropped off at the hall this coming Friday afternoon or Saturday morning.   Dziekujemy!
